Hoi An, one of the oldest cities in Asia, is located in central Vietnam, on the north bank near the mouth of the Thu Bon River. As a former international trading port dating back to the 18th century, Hoi An today has transformed into one of the most famous tourist destinations since earning recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage. It is culturally and historically one of Vietnam’s most important towns and also one of the richest.
Hanoi is the gracious capital and one of the world’s most ancient cities. Located on the banks of the Red River in Northern Vietnam, this classic capital town is a melting pot of French, Chinese and Southeast Asian cultures. It is actually over 1000 years old, so the wealth of history in Hanoi is totally captivating, from Perfume Pagoda, Bach Ma Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda the UNESCO-listed Thang Long Imperial Citadel, the Old Quarter and French Quarter, and Hoan Kiem Lake just outside the city.
Ha Long Bay is in Quang Ninh, 170 km east of Hanoi. It is located in the area of the Gulf of Tonkin. Ha Long Bay, where ‘Ha Long’ translates to ‘Descending Dragon’ in Vietnamese. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage, Ha Long Bay is dotted with thousands of spectacular towering limestone islands and islets rising from deep emerald waters. The bay is best explored on traditional junk boats that allow you to experience the bay with sails and slow speeds.
Koh Samui is a popular island in the Gulf of Thailand with breathtaking beautiful beaches, luxurious resorts and plenty of fun activities. The island features a diverse landscape, including palm-fringed white sandy beaches, crystalline, azure water, coconut palms, mountains, and lush rainforests. Koh Samui is the largest in an archipelago of roughly 60 islands. The nearby islands of Koh Phangan and Koh Tao also offer many stunning beach resorts, excellent diving, snorkelling, and hiking trails.
Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is the largest city in Vietnam and the country’s economic capital. This city offers a captivating blend of old-world charm and contemporary vibrancy.
